UPSC Mock Test Diagnostic

Diagnose guessing, answer-change, knowledge and time errors after a UPSC Prelims mock test.

Mock DiagnosticThe interactive form is loading. The guide below remains available if JavaScript is disabled.

UPSC mock test analysis gives you a practical result before the explanation. Enter the inputs in the tool above, read the result, and use the next action to improve one preparation decision.

The form is free, requires no account, and keeps personal entries in your browser unless the page explicitly says it is reading the published Anantam IAS question bank.

How this tool works

The diagnostic calculates score, accuracy, attempt rate and time per attempted question. It then separates low-quality guesses and correct-to-wrong changes from other errors to identify the most expensive repeatable decision pattern.

What the result does not mean

The mark-cost estimates are diagnostic approximations. You still need to review the paper and label each wrong answer honestly.

Source and verification

Scoring follows the GS Paper I scheme. Diagnostic method reviewed 26 July 2026.

Frequently asked questions

What should I record after every mock?

Record the score, accuracy, time used and an error label for every wrong answer: knowledge, misread, elimination, guess or time.

Should I never change an answer?

Change it when you can identify the decisive fact or logic. Do not change it only because the first choice feels uncomfortable.

Is attempt rate more important than accuracy?

Neither works alone. The right attempt count depends on the quality of your elimination and the paper.
