Calculate GS Paper I or CSAT marks, accuracy, negative-mark leakage and safer attempt scenarios from your mock or answer key.

Prelims MarksThe interactive form is loading. The guide below remains available if JavaScript is disabled.

UPSC Prelims marks calculator gives you a practical result before the explanation. Enter the inputs in the tool above, read the result, and use the next action to improve one preparation decision.

The form is free, requires no account, and keeps personal entries in your browser unless the page explicitly says it is reading the published Anantam IAS question bank.

How this tool works

For GS Paper I, the tool awards 2 marks for a correct answer and subtracts two-thirds of a mark for an incorrect answer. For CSAT, it awards 2.5 marks and subtracts five-sixths of a mark. Skipped questions do not change the score.

What the result does not mean

The calculator does not estimate the official cutoff or your probability of clearing Prelims. The scenario rows are counterfactual review aids, not advice to attempt a fixed number of questions.

Source and verification

Scoring values follow the published UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination scheme. Method verified 26 July 2026.
