About this pillar
What's covered
Indian Polity is the most reliably scoring part of the syllabus, because the material is finite and the questions are precise. It covers the Constitution, Parliament, the judiciary, federalism and governance, tested in Prelims and General Studies Paper II.
What makes Polity dependable is also what catches people out: the answers turn on exact wording. Which article, which schedule, which majority, whose discretion. A candidate who knows the shape of a provision but not its limits will lose marks that were available. The good news is that this is learnable in a way that few other sections are.
Constitutional bodies, landmark judgments, amendments and the daily governance stories that test them are all here.
