iGOT Karmayogi Login: Register, OTP, Courses and Certificates

The iGOT Karmayogi login is the sign-in for igotkarmayogi.gov.in, the government’s digital training portal for civil servants. Karmayogi Bharat, a not-for-profit company under the Department of Personnel and Training, runs it as the learning layer of Mission Karmayogi. If you work in a Union ministry, a state department or a mapped organisation, this is the page that lets you take courses, sit assessments and collect certificates.

Most people who land here treat it as a public MOOC, or as the same thing as the Mission Karmayogi scheme note. It is neither. Guests can open featured courses, but progress, quizzes and certificates stay behind a registered employee account. This guide is the how-to: Register, Login, the two email paths, and the errors that actually lock people out.

What is iGOT Karmayogi and who is the login for?

iGOT is Integrated Government Online Training. DoPT launched the original i-GOT programme on 20 December 2018. The Union Cabinet then approved Mission Karmayogi, the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building, on 2 September 2020, and put iGOT-Karmayogi at the centre of its digital learning pillar. The scheme, its six pillars and the FRACs idea live on the Mission Karmayogi note. This page stays with the portal: how you get in, what the screens are called, and what to do when they fail.

DoPT’s Mission Karmayogi scheme page is blunt about the audience. NPCSCB is meant to cover civil servants, including contractual employees, across Union ministries, departments, organisations and agencies. Willing state governments can align their own plans on the same rails. A 2026 Lok Sabha reply said every Union ministry and department, and every State and Union Territory, is now onboarded.

That last row is why the login now matters outside the training wing. From the 2025-26 reporting year, prescribed iGOT courses for Central Government employees and All India Services officers are meant to flow into the APAR. A login that fails is no longer only a missed certificate. It can show up on the year’s confidential report.

Who can register: government email vs other IDs

The live platform still talks to two kinds of people, and mixing them up is the usual reason a new account sits on pending.

Capacity Building Commission’s registration guidelines, written for first-time users of the iGOT app, split the queue this way:

• Government email IDs such as @gov.in, @nic.in and other recognised official domains. These users self-register, pick their organisation, and get immediate access. No extra approval is required.
• Users without a government email ID. They can start a registration, but access stays pending until the MDO admin (the ministry, department or organisation administrator) approves it on the MDO portal. The cleaner path is often to ask that admin to register you, then log in once the account is live.

The older user manuals were stricter. NIC and state training circulars from 2022 to 2024 said only @gov.in and @nic.in would work, because the platform was built for serving civil servants. The 2026 CBC note is the document that now admits private IDs, with a gate. If your department has not issued an official mailbox, do not invent a Gmail workaround and expect instant access. Find the nodal officer first. The portal keeps that list at igotkarmayogi.gov.in/#/mdoList#mdoUserList.

A third path exists for whole offices: bulk upload of IDs through the MDO portal. That is how large departments onboard field staff who will never fill the public Register form. The public FAQ is honest about the side effect. Self-register and log in, and you get 5 Karma Points. Get onboarded by the ministry, and those 5 points do not arrive. Karma Points are the platform’s engagement score, not a cash reward.

Everyone else is a guest. The official user manual lets a public visitor open a featured course, click View, then Sign in or Register. Guests get no progress bar and no assessment. If you are a student, a coach or an aspirant looking in from outside government, that is the whole door. The e-governance stack in India is full of citizen logins. iGOT is not one of them.

How to register on igotkarmayogi.gov.in

Registration is a form, not a file upload. Have a working mobile, an email you can open in the next two minutes, your designation and the exact name of your organisation. Then follow the labels the portal and the official Karmayogi Bharat walkthrough actually use.

1. Open igotkarmayogi.gov.in and click Register at the top right. The dedicated sign-up URL is portal.igotkarmayogi.gov.in/public/signup.
2. Choose whether you are a central government or state government employee. A state user then picks the state.
3. Select the ministry or department, then the organisation. If the organisation is missing, click Request for help rather than picking a neighbour department that looks close.
4. Enter your full name and email, then Send OTP and verify the email.
5. Enter the mobile number, send the OTP and verify that too.
6. Add designation (some screens still call this Position or Group) and any extra organisation fields the form asks for.
7. Tick the two declarations the Delhi training flowchart still shows: I confirm that the above provided information is accurate and I agree to the iGOT karmayogi’s Terms of Service & Privacy Policy.
8. Click SIGN UP. If the flow pauses after a help request, use Resume registration, then finish designation and the second email OTP.

The first-generation manuals asked for First name, Last name, Position, email id and MDO, then SIGN UP, after which an email arrived with a here link to Set password. That email-to-password step still appears in the official user manual. The current public form leans on OTP first and password later, which is why people who wait for a set-password mail sometimes think registration failed when it has not.

If Position or Organisation is not in the list, Request for help is the designed exit, not a broken dropdown. The nodal officer search on the same journey asks you to pick central or state, then ministry, department and organisation, then Search. Name and email of the nodal officer come back on that screen.

How to complete iGOT Karmayogi login

Login is a different button from Register, on the same top-right corner. Assam’s SOP and the current official video still describe three ways in. Use one. Do not bounce between all three in the same minute, or the account can lock.

1. On the home page, click Login.
2. Login with Password: enter the registered email as the user name and the password you set.
3. Login with OTP: enter the registered email or mobile, click Request OTP, then enter the code.
4. Login with providers: open the dropdown and choose Parichay if you already use that NIC sign-on for e-office and similar tools. Enter the Parichay credentials, click Next, then the OTP on the registered mobile. The official Karmayogi Bharat walkthrough also shows organisation logins such as Oil India and NTPC on this same menu.
5. After a first Parichay landing, the older manual still expects position and ministry/state, then the self-declaration and Save and Next.

Forgot the password? The public FAQ is one line. Click Forgot password. An email goes out so you can reset it. Do not open a second Register form with the same mobile. That is how people end up with “already registered” on one screen and “not registered” on the other.

Once you are in, the first-run walkthrough is Let’s Go. You add a role and activities, click Add (the old manual even reminds you to press Enter), pick topics of interest, set current and desired competencies, watch the platform walkthrough and click Done. Skip it if you have done it before. Do not skip View profile if your designation or ministry is wrong, because mandated courses will not map until the profile matches the post you actually hold.

The profile dropdown is also where extra consoles hide. Depending on your role, the user manual lists links to the SPV portal, MDO portal, CBP portal and the FRAC dictionary. Ordinary learners never need those. MDO admins do.

If this feels like one more government login to keep straight, it sits in the same family as DigiLocker and the UMANG app: official identity in, services out. The difference is the audience. Those two are citizen stacks. iGOT is an employee classroom.

How to take courses and get a certificate

After login, learning lives on Learn Hub. The official user manual still names six hubs around it:

• Learn Hub for courses and programmes
• Discuss Hub for queries and ideas
• Network Hub for connections across MDOs
• Career Hub for openings
• Competencies Hub for self-attested competencies
• Events Hub for events you can join

Knowledge resources and interests sit beside those hubs. For a working officer the useful path is narrower.

1. Open Hubs -> Learn hub, or search from the home bar.
2. Open a course and click Enroll, then Start.
3. Finish the videos and reading. A course that sits at 90 to 99 percent is a Help Centre FAQ for a reason: skipped segments do not count as complete.
4. Take the assessment attached to that course. Passing marks are set per course, not as one platform-wide cut-off. DoPT’s own comprehensive-assessment instructions for cadre managers use a 50% minimum passing percentage, with no negative marking, but that is the APAR assessment design, not a promise that every Learn Hub quiz is 50%.
5. Click Rate this course when the platform asks. The public FAQ treats ratings as one of the actions that earn Karma Points.
6. When a certificate is available, it appears as a certificate card. Click the card to download. Completed courses also sit under the user profile. Some certificates carry a QR code.

Two catches, both official. The user manual says a certificate appears only if the content creator uploaded one. The Help Centre has a whole FAQ for My certificate has not been generated. Finish the course, pass the assessment, submit any feedback form the course still holds, then wait. If the name on the PDF is wrong, fix Edit profile first. A few profile fields, the FAQ says, update only after admin approval, so a wrong designation can sit on the certificate until that approval lands.

Mandated learning is a different tray. DoPT’s 4 July 2025 OM tells MDO admins and cadre controlling authorities to add a Training Plan for each level. Once your profile is current, those courses show up as targets in My iGOT. AIS officers in the states have to map service and batch so they attach to the right cadre authority. Central employees and AIS officers on Central deputation get their list from the MDO. Everyone else on the AIS side gets it from the CCA. The rule that then matters: complete at least 50% of the courses prescribed for the year, and pass the comprehensive assessment when it is assigned.

What documents, fees and timelines apply

You do not upload PAN cards, photographs or service-book scans on the public Register form. What you need is identity the portal can ping.

• a government email for instant access, or a private email plus MDO approval
• a mobile number that receives OTPs
• your full name as the office spells it
• designation / Group / Position
• the organisation name exactly as it sits in the dropdown

Fees sit on the department, not on you. DoPT’s scheme page says Karmayogi Bharat runs on a subscription-based revenue model, and DoPT “will fix and convey the annual subscription fee to all the Ministries and Organisations which will be paid by the Ministry or Department concerned.” No public learner tariff is listed. Treat the courses as free at the desk. If a third-party site asks you to pay for an iGOT certificate, it is not the portal.

Timelines are the part people underestimate:

• Government-email self-registration: immediate access, per the CBC note.
• Private-email registration: pending until the MDO admin acts. CBC tells offices to start at least 7 days before a scheduled training, and to make participants log in 1 to 2 days before the event, because same-day repairs often fail.
• Password mail: arrives after SIGN UP on the older flow. Check spam before opening a duplicate account.
• APAR cycle 2025-26: DoPT first asked for completion inside the reporting year. An OM of 18 March 2026 then moved the last date for mandatory courses and the comprehensive assessment from 31 March 2026 to 30 April 2026, or before the APAR goes to the Reporting Authority, whichever is earlier.

Common iGOT login errors and how to fix them

The Help Centre’s own FAQ list is a better map than any rumour screenshot. These are the failures it names, with the fix that actually matches the screen.

Email showing Invalid at Register. The domain is not in the recognised list, or the address is mistyped. Use the official mailbox if you have one. If you do not, stop and look up the nodal officer instead of retrying a Gmail ID until the form throttles you.

OTP not arriving. Wait, check spam, and confirm the mobile is the one on the profile. The Help Centre treats this as a separate ticketed issue. Repeated Request OTP clicks can delay the next code.

Organisation or department missing from the dropdown. Use Request for help. Do not enrol under a different MDO so you can start a course today. Mandated Training Plans will not find you there, and certificates will carry the wrong office.

Forgot password. Forgot password on the login page. One email, one reset. Do not Register again.

Account locked or Access Denied. Too many failed password attempts, a pending private-email approval, or a profile the MDO has disabled. Wait out a lock if you were hammering passwords. If the account was never approved, only the MDO admin can move it.

User already exists, but OTP login says you are not registered. Two records, usually one on email and one on mobile, or a bulk upload that collided with a self-register. Write to the nodal officer with both IDs rather than creating a third.

Name or designation wrong on the profile or the certificate. View profile, then Edit profile, then Save details. Fields that need admin approval will not change on the certificate until that approval happens.

Course stuck at 90 to 99 percent, or still In Progress after a pass. Rewatch the unfinished resource. Do not close the assessment tab mid-submit. The Help Centre also flags quizzes that refresh and swallow answers: try another browser, drop extra extensions, and avoid two devices on the same course.

App crashing. The Help Centre has separate Android and iOS install videos under Download App. Update the store copy, or fall back to the browser login while the app is broken.

Where to raise a ticket if login still fails

Start inside the platform, then climb the office chain. Do not begin with a minister’s office tweet.

1. Open the iGOT Help Centre and use Raise Ticket. That is the labelled public channel on the live portal.
2. If the problem is “my department is not in the list” or “private email pending”, contact the MDO nodal officer. The portal list is at igotkarmayogi.gov.in/#/mdoList#mdoUserList.
3. Ministry-wise Karmayogi Bharat representatives sit in CBC’s onboarding annexure, which is the right rung for an MDO that cannot bulk-upload.
4. The official iGOT Karmayogi app listing names [email protected] as the support email, with the SPV office at Parsvnath Capital Tower, 7th Floor, Bhai Vir Singh Marg, Gole Market, New Delhi 110001.

A locked training account is an office grievance, not a citizen CPGRAMS case about a public service. If you need the wider complaint map, the grievance redressal note is the place. For iGOT, the Help Centre ticket plus the nodal officer is the designed path.

What changed on iGOT in 2025 and 2026

The login is the same family of screens. The stakes around it are not.

On 21 May 2025, PIB said the platform had crossed 1 crore registered civil servants, from about 3 lakh in January 2023, with over 3.1 crore certificates already issued. By the ministry’s year-ender on 30 December 2025, that count was 1.45 crore users, 4,155 courses in 23 languages, and 28 States and UTs onboarded. New furniture on the platform that year included the iGOT Marketplace, specialisation programmes, AI Sarthi, AI Tutor and an AI capacity-building planning tool. The Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Programme had covered over 8.73 lakh employees.

A Lok Sabha reply dated 11 March 2026 put users above 1.51 crore as on 6 March 2026, with over 4,400 courses and more than 7.7 crore course completions. Karmayogi Bharat had NCVET recognition as an Awarding Body (Dual). By 5 August 2026, the same ministry told the Lok Sabha that users had passed 1.70 crore, hosted courses had passed 5600, all States and UTs were onboarded, and KB plus CBC had 30 tripartite MoUs. 218 courses sat under Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies. Subtitles and transcripts were being offered in 11 major Indian languages.

The administrative change that should change your calendar is the APAR link. DoPT’s 4 July 2025 OM, restated in the 5 August 2026 PIB reply, makes prescribed iGOT courses part of the 2025-26 reporting year for Central employees and AIS officers. That is a civil service reform with a login screen attached, not a voluntary e-learning hobby. It also sits inside the larger Digital India stack DoPT itself names as the home of iGOT.

The current test is blunter: can the officer actually open My iGOT, finish half the prescribed list, and sit the assessment before the APAR leaves the desk. The honest limit: the public homepage is a single-page app, so button labels move a little between manuals. Trust the Register, Login, Send OTP, Request for help, Forgot password, Raise Ticket, Learn Hub, Enroll, Start, My iGOT and certificate card labels on the screen in front of you, and treat any blog that asks you to pay for an iGOT login as noise.
