International Relations is the second half of General Studies Paper II — India's neighbourhood, bilateral relationships, regional groupings and global institutions. Every question is ultimately about what a development means for India, not about the event itself.
That is the discipline the paper demands. A summit is examinable because of what India signed, resisted or gained. A conflict matters for energy prices, diaspora safety, trade routes or strategic alignment. Answers that narrate events without landing on Indian interest read as news summaries, and they score like them.
